Project overview
In this 2,000 m² corporate office, brought to life by Studio13 Mimarlık's design drawing on the precision of watchmaking, we installed circular stretch ceiling light fixtures embedded within organic, wing-form, timber-clad ceiling islands across three floors. The circular form, repeated in meeting rooms, the lounge and reception, builds a consistent lighting language across the office's different floors; the membrane surface diffuses light source-free and evenly, supporting the 'timeless' atmosphere where craft meets a contemporary workplace.
Case study
Studio13's design treated the ceiling not as a flat surface but as organic, wing-form, timber-clad islands; at the centre of each island, a single, seamless, source-free circle of light was required. These circles, at varying diameters, would repeat across three floors, all needing to look identical in evenness and colour temperature.
We produced a custom-sized fixture for each ceiling island to install alongside the timber cladding in a single build; the membrane surface converted the LED source into a single, even plane of light rather than a point source. The repeating circular form — from meeting rooms to the lounge and reception — was installed from a single source with the same light quality throughout.
Repeated at varying scales across the 2,000 m² office, the circular fixtures created a consistent lighting signature that carries the precision of watchmaking craft into the workplace.
