Smart Control in Stretch Ceilings with DALI Lighting Automation

14 January 2025 · 5 min

The DALI protocol makes scene-based lighting scenarios and central control possible in stretch ceiling projects.

DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) is a digital lighting control protocol in which every fixture can be individually addressed and programmed. Used together with stretch ceiling systems, it becomes possible to create independent scenes, timers and gradual transitions across different zones of a space.

In Item Yapı projects, DALI infrastructure goes beyond simple on/off control, offering pre-defined light profiles for scenarios such as meetings, presentations, service hours and night mode. This raises energy efficiency while lifting the user experience, especially in hotel, office and corporate projects.

If fixture selection, cabling topology and control software aren't planned together at the outset, the system can't keep pace with a building's growing automation needs over the years.
